• Quote of the Day by Mary on eyewitnesses

This was an interesting albeit anecdotal comment, whilst talking about the Resurrection and the power of eyewitnesses:

I was part of an experiment at University years ago. A man came in and by pre-arrangement, started to shout threateningly at the instructor. When he left, the prof asked us to form small groups and try to remember what he looked like. Our group could not remember much, so we followed the lead of a student who was quite sure he knew the right description. Duh! We were completely wrong! So much for eyewitness. Not only is it inaccurate, but people tend to follow the lead of someone who is insistent about what they saw or what happened. Scary!

Eyewitnesses are often not all they are cracked up to be!
