I’ve been gloomily warning that, on its current track, what awaits Europe’s future is a bloody civil war between the native and the Islamic far right. In France a recently formed anti-immigrant group called Generation Identitaire has seized a Mosque at Poitiers (gulf news link, but all the others I found were either French or far-right).
What’s significant is that this is a deep change from the previous far-right’s philosophizing and muttering on the internet. This is a group that, like the EDL, is taking it to the street, one that really means it (watch their video, by the way, if you want to lose some sleep).
