• Biblical science in action

I have a relative who didn’t make it past eighth grade. He was a bright man, hard worker, very religious. To make up for his lack of education, he prided himself on being a “biblical scholar.”

He’d spend hours poring over his Bible, graphing events and calculating the days until Jesus returned. I remember, as a child, accidentally finding him in the bathroom, sitting on the throne, huge Bible draped over his bare knees. (Sorry for the visual.)

It made me wonder what other “profession” could afford someone with no real education, the pride of becoming a “scholar?” Imagine how good it must feel to only have to master one book, one you can study your whole life, plus you can even reclaim time you’d otherwise “waste” while in the bathroom?

I figure this is the kind of “scholar” David Lowe is. Using his GeoCities website, Lowe has concluded that our sun is not a star.

Of course, all the proof he needs is found right in the Bible.

The goal of this paper is to prove, using only the Bible, that the Sun is NOT a star. There are four major reasons from the Bible why I believe the Sun is not a star, and therefore the assumptions made about stars, their creation, their life, their death, their burn rate, the composition – basically every assumption we make about stars – are faulty. These faulty assumptions completely throw into doubt the theory of the evolution of the universe and the big bang theory. In this paper I will show:

    • the Sun and stars had DIFFERENT BEGINNINGS in the creation story.

the Sun and stars have DIFFERENT PROPHETIC ENDINGS.

    • the Sun and stars are ALWAYS referred to separately in scripture, and
    • the Sun and stars have DIFFERENT PROPHETIC ENDINGS.

That’s really all you need to read to understand where this guy is coming from. Just read your Bible, folks. Don’t take into account any current knowledge because those Bronze Age goat herders were all over what constituted reality.
