• Reclaiming cuss words for Christ

Note: This is likely NSFW. You’ve been warned.

    From the description:

These words belong to the Army of God now! Fuck yea bitch ass motherfuckers! WOOT! Victory! Fuck Yea! LOL all forms are being taken by the Holy Spirit through Joel’s Army! LOL

To call this fellow perplexing is an understatement. Higher than a kite (on the Holy Spirit), the message spewing from his mouth is beyond comprehension.

I suppose this means I’ll have to clean up my language. As always, enjoy.

    1. I am sorry – but why give an idiot like that a free forum? I thought freak shows demanded money to watch. That would curtail somewhat the publicity he receives here for free.

About ten seconds of this grinning moron and I had to switch off. No further viewing necessary.

      1. That’s an excellent question. I post things like this for a couple reasons.

First, I never want to forget how, when I abandon thinking critically in all situations, I can wind up in some pretty strange, sometimes public, situations. Given the correct circumstances, you’d be surprised how many seemingly intelligent people can believe absurd things.

Secondly, as a copywriter, essentially a professional persuader (hence the name of the blog), I have to know my audience better than they know themselves. I post these for fellow persuaders to not only help recognize recent trends, but to mentally prepare arguments to combat this malarkey. If I were to meet someone like this out of the blue, I’d be gobsmacked. Now I know this “theology” exists.

Third, this vid can act like a mirror. If someone sharing that brand of christianity were to drop by and see the behavior through a different lens via commentary and/or comments, perhaps we’ve planted a seed. I embarked on the road to skepticism after stumbling on PZ Myer’s reaction to my employment at the University of Metaphysical Sciences. When I set out to prove him wrong, I discovered he was right. Dang him.

I live in a very religious section of Minnesota. People believing such things are more common than you’d likely expect.

        I really appreciate your comment.

        Beth 🙂
