Philip Kitcher to lecture on secular humanism

Eminent philosopher Philip Kitcher, who was also one of the contributors to 50 Voices of Disbelief, will be delivering the Dwight H. Terry lectures at Yale University from March 26-April 4. There will be four lectures under the general title “Secular Humanism.” If you follow the link, you will see a full description of what Professor Kitcher plans to argue. In gneral, he will be putting forward a defence of secular humanism as an understanding of the world, including a basis for how we might live our own lives. The dates are March 26, March 28, April 2, and April 4, 2013. I’d love to be able to attend these. Hopefully the material will eventually be published in some form.
