50 Great Myths About Atheism is on its way

50 Great Myths About Atheism is currently scheduled for publication in September 2013. If you look at the cover closely, you’ll get an idea of the lies, libels, half-truths, distortions, misconceptions, etc., that Udo Schuklenk and I will be discussing in the book. (Obviously I’ll reveal more  about them as the time approaches, but looking closely at the cover is a bit of fun in any event.)

We’ll also be saying something positive (and at some length!) about why we think atheism is the most reasonable response to the God question. We’re quite proud of the long final chapter which deals with this, in the context of the history of atheism and the rise of science. A lot of hard work has gone into this book, but we think the result makes it worthwhile. Hopefully you’ll agree when you have a chance to read it, later in the year.

This sounds like an interesting book! I will definitely keep an eye out for it!

  • Awesome!

Do you know how many pages it’s gonna have?

I’d guess about 300 pages, Mike, or maybe a little less… it depends on the format, and I haven’t yet seen page proofs.

The final version of the manuscript was about 103,000 words, which gives you a more precise measure of how long it is (authors tend to think in wordcounts, not page counts).

  • Congrats!

Don’t forget to include “Atheist Origin Of The Universe Mythologies”
