• New Facebook Page

A while ago, I created a Facebook page specifically for Dangerous Talk, but it really didn’t take off the way I was hoping it would for a variety of reasons. For starters, I mainly posted there at 2am and as a result fewer people saw those posts on their feeds. Also, I had one other content creator and he was busy with his own stuff and neither of us posted there as often as we should have. But mainly I think the problem was that most people don’t know what Dangerous Talk is. The name alone could mean anything. It just isn’t descriptive enough to people outside of my blog.

I will still keep the Dangerous Talk Facebook page up and people can certainly continue to post there and I will post there sometimes also. However, I have created a new Facebook community page called “National Atheism Examiner.” Atheism is right there in the name and it will help promote my other platform.

When I write as the National Atheism Examiner on Examiner.com, I try to take a more journalistic style even though I am not a journalist and my articles often are opinionated and present an atheist/humanist point of view. With that in mind, I would like this new Facebook page to also be a little more on the journalistic side, but not exclusively. There will be plenty of memes and stuff too. I will also post most of my Skeptic Ink and HuffPo articles there too and share some thoughts about futurism, which has been on my mind as of late.

So far, I have added two content creators to the page. My brother Mike who is active in the skeptic community in NYC will be posting content to the page. He will probably focus more on general skepticism. Also, my good friend… also Mike, will be a content creator as well. He will go by the handle of Domo since he is a huge fan of the Japanese character. There are a few more people I am thinking of also asking to be content creators. I want to make sure that there is plenty of new content on this page and not just at two in the morning.

I also want to stress that this new Facebook page is a community. So I want you all to post content too. Me or one of the other content creators will go through the message board and re-post various content from you guys. If you have a blog, YouTube channel, or other project in need of promotion, let us know. Post it on the page.

Help make this new Facebook page a larger and more interesting online community. Let your fellow atheist Facebook friends know about the page and proselytize to them to “like” it.
