• Vive La France

One of the things I hate most is censorship.

And it currently is happening in Austria, where people can’t stand (naked) human body displays:

A museum has covered up hundreds of huge posters showing three naked footballers advertising an exhibition celebrating nude men in art.

The full frontal poster – showing an image called Vive La France by artists Pierre & Gilles – sparked hundreds of complaints in Vienna, Austria.

One angry local threatened to paint over the model’s manhoods herself.

A Wiener Leopold Museum spokesman said: “The men are clearly not sexually aroused so we thought it would not cause offence.

“But we don’t want to disturb either children or adults and it’s clearly something people don’t want to see and we have to respect that,” they added.

Yeah… ’cause nudity is such a weapon of mass destruction!!

I have this provocateur/Streissand effect kinda thing – I love to repost anything that is being censored, specially on such stupid grounds, so here we go. Vive La France:

    Shame on the Leopold Museum.

“it’s clearly something people don’t want to see”

How do they manage to reproduce, then? Is it all beakers and flasks?

My only complaint is that naked men wearing shoes doesn’t make a lot of sense. To get clothed again, they have to take the shoes off. It’s too much of a hassle. Body paint would have been more effective. Vive le bleu, blanc, et rouge!

      • Hahaha, yeah it doesn’t make sense… unless the get cramps on their feet!
