        I think so today, but when I was at school we sometimes got eggs which had things ranging from blood spots to small embryos, as eggs from the farm could be fertile.

        How could I forget, Ed, I kept chickens myself for 3 years or so. Every one of my eggs, fried or scrambled, was fertilised. The joy of having two cocks.
