Bible Slavery – it’s all about CONTEXT!!

Having seen theist after theist squirm and perform mental gymnastics in order to make sense of the countenancing of slavery within the Bible, it’s about time Nonstampcollector produced a knockdown video on this subject. I don’t think we should have to put up with theists like Paul Copan trying to harmonise the scriptures by, say, minimising the definition of slave by saying they were all bondservant (glorified domestic maids) because they weren’t.

    Much like the compatibilist must redefine free will, the theist must redefine meanings to avoid the unpleasantness of Yahweh.

    The context video is absolutely hilarious BUT true. I see this time and time again with Christians unfortunately.
