• Open Question – Confrontations

This is an open question, I’d like to her thoughts, suggestions, etc.

Is there a point when you shouldn’t bother correcting someone’s idiocy?

For example, a friend makes a post.  One of their friends comments.  Should you correct the commenter if they are being stupid?

Is there a point where you just have to say “This person will never get it.  They don’t want to get it and are perfectly happy being ignorant.  It’s not worth the fight.”

Should you correct them anyway in the hopes that you might reach one person who is willing to listen?

Does it make a difference if the original post is science? politics? religion? celebrity gossip?

I’ve ruffled an awful lot of feathers in the last year or so… mainly among family members… and it’s not going to get better.  Some people are just incapable of thinking beyond their beliefs and nothing will change them.

    Thoughts appreciated.
