• World Net Daily proclaims antisemitism no longer exists in article titled “jewish grinch stole Christmas”

While evidence of Christian right’s antisemitism is not hard to find, of course, they’d love to hide behind a Jewish to person to say the actual words. Here is a nice example of that. The awful, extremist website World Net Daily, most notorious for its birther conspiracy theories, has a dreadful articleby Burt Prelustsky, in which he accuses his fellow Jews of being the ones behind the mythical “war on Christmas”. After parroting some O’Reilly-style lamentations about nativity scenes no longer being on display exclusively and hearing “happy holidays”, the lies and inanities take a turn for the worse:

How is it, one well might ask, that in a Christian nation this is happening? And in case you find that designation objectionable, would you deny that India is a Hindu country, that Turkey is Muslim, that Poland is Catholic? That doesn’t mean those nations are theocracies. But when the overwhelming majority of a country’s population believe Jesus to be their savior, only a darn fool would deny the obvious.

Would that include a darn fool named John Adams?
The government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.
And then, the accusations against the Jews start:
I lay a great deal of the blame at the feet of my fellow Jews. When it comes to pushing the multicultural, anti-Christian agenda, you find Jewish judges, Jewish journalists and the largely Jewish funded ACLU at the forefront. What makes them even more obnoxious is that, by and large, the Jews who are leading the crusade against what is, we should never forget, a national holiday, are secular. So it’s not even a question of their religion being shortchanged; they hate their own, as well. They’re the pinheads who pretend that “separation of church and state” appears in the Constitution.
Well, not in so many words, but neither does “separation of powers”.
I should confess that because my family was Jewish, Christmas was never celebrated while I was growing up. But what was there not to like about the holiday?
    Well, I don’t know…the tree, perhaps?
Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen…. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest … with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold. (Jeremiah 10 2-4)
It is interesting that while Perlutsky accuses other Jews of not being religious enough, he doesn’t seem to be so familiar with the Jewish scripture himself.
    His vitriol is really ugly.
It is the ACLU, which is largely funded by Jews and has a legal department that is almost exclusively Jewish, that is leading the attack against Christianity in America.
I happen to despise bullies and bigots. I hate them when they represent the majority, but no less when, like too many Jews in America, they represent an infinitesimal minority. I am getting the idea that these self-righteous secular Jews won’t be happy until they pull off their own version of the Spanish Inquisition, forcing Christians to either deny their faith and convert to agnosticism or suffer the consequences.
Does he even know that Jews were the VICTIMS of inquisition?
My fellow Jews, who often have the survival of Israel heading the list of their concerns when it comes to electing a president, only gave 26 percent of their vote to Bush and roughly 30 percent to Mitt Romney, even though they were clearly far friendlier toward Israel than John Kerry or Barack Obama.
So his antisemitism is not limited to the Jews working at ACLU. Thanks for the clarification.
This is a Christian nation, my friends. And all of us are fortunate it is one, and that so many millions of Americans have seen fit to live up to the highest precepts of their religion.
Or maybe we are fortunate that we are living after the Enlightenment. Jews living in “Christian nations” before that didn’t do so well, you know.
Massacre of the Jews of Metz during the First Crusade, by Auguste Migette.

It should never be forgotten that, in the main, it was Christian soldiers who fought and died to defeat Nazi Germany and who liberated the concentration camps.

Auschwitz was liberated by the COMMUNISTS!  And how about the good Catholics and Protestants who guarded the camps? What have you been smoking Burt? But of all the bizarre things he says, this is the one that takes the cake:

But the dirty little secret in America is that in spite of the occasional over-publicized rants by the likes of Mel Gibson and Michael Richards, anti-Semitism is no longer a problem in society.

Yep. After reading the article, I am totally convinced of that.

Article by: No Such Thing As Blasphemy

I was raised in the Islamic world. By accident of history, the plague that is entanglement of religion and government affects most Muslim majority nations a lot worse the many Christian majority (or post-Christian majority) nations. Hence, I am quite familiar with this plague. I started doubting the faith I was raised in during my teen years. After becoming familiar with the works of enlightenment philosophers, I identified myself as a deist. But it was not until a long time later, after I learned about evolutionary science, that I came to identify myself as an atheist. And only then, I came to know the religious right in the US. No need to say, that made me much more passionate about what I believe in and what I stand for. Read more...
