• Skeptic Ink Gets Makeover

Those who have been with us since the start over three years ago will know this is the 3rd major redesign. We continually work to keep pace with changing technology, and to make the reader experience better. This is lacking at many websites today. Some sites try to cram way too much content into a single screen. Many literally shove the content aside to show you ads, play videos with audio automatically, and still make use of obnoxious pop-ups. You will never see any of that at Skeptic Ink (in return I hope you consider foregoing ad blockers).

I am no design maven, which is why the visuals you see now are a slightly modified off-the-shelf premium WordPress theme called Sundak. Kudos to the guys at Themedsgn. I like its clean, modern looks and hey, why re-invent the wheel?

Many of the individual blogs do not have the update yet. It is slowly being rolled out to minimize the impact of any technical problems, but so far it has been smooth sailing. The major impetus for this redesign was not to improve the appearance. I actually like the old look quite a bit. Instead, it is more to do with improving functionality and ease of administration. There are many enhancements along these lines, such as the Google-powered search, fully responsive design for mobile devices, attractive category pages, social media integration without old, obnoxious widgets, and more.

We hope that you like the update and appreciate some patience as we roll it out to all the sites.
