• Review: Ipad Air 2.

I’ve owned the Ipad Air 2 for about six months now, and I thought it was such a great product that it deserved a review.

It’s not my first Apple product: December 2013 I bought myself an Ipad mini (the original, not the two or three). It was a pretty cool little device, and I was so happy to finally be able to buy myself a cool new piece of technology (I was poor for years leading up to that purchase). Anyway, in spite of how much I liked the mini, I eventually decided I wanted a bigger screen and something a little bit faster, so I traded it in for an Ipad Air 2.

Ipad Air 2 is a masterpiece. It is a damn near perfect piece of technology. The internet, especially with Google Chrome, is blazing fast. Visually, the pad is stunning with its gold-colored back and slimness. Its internal sensors are near-flawless: I play a racing game on mine in which I have to hold the pad like a steering wheel and turn it, and it works so well I feel almost like I am behind the wheel. Just to make you feel like a king: it can recognize your finger-print for easy online payments and unlocks.

The only problem that I have ever had with it is that occasionally Google Chrome crashes. It seems like sometimes if you have a lot going on, Chrome will just disappear. No big deal, I click on Chrome again, it “Restore” to bring back what I was looking at, and continue on. I am not sure if this reflects a failing of Apple or a failing of Google Chrome. However, if we take the route of judging the Ipad by its failures instead of its successes, it comes out a winner: six months of use has shown only one minor flaw.

If you’re looking for a premium piece of portable technology for work or for fun, I highly recommend Ipad Air 2.
