• Big Bang, Jesus Mythicism, and More.

    Well, it looks like inflationary cosmology (which I wrote about here) may not be confirmed after all (we will have to wait some weeks or months for new data to see if it is). I expect the results will be positive, but I am glad that there are skeptics asking the tough questions in physics.

    I had never seen a Green Heron before today. I think they’re beautiful, they almost look like a living Archaeopteryx.

    Amazon.com has just shipped my copy of On The Historicity of Jesus by Richard Carrier. It’s the first book ever to argue for a mythical Jesus that has been published by an academic press (Sheffield-Phoenix). Expect a review soon!
