• White House honors faith-based climate change anti-denialism

Earlier this week, the White House honored faith leaders who have been actively working against anthropogenic climate change in their local communities.

I have very profoundly mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I’d rather that our government kept itself at a safe distance from faith communities and their leadership, in general. Conclusions made on faith are (pretty much by definition) not well-grounded in scientific evidence. On the other hand, it is better far to use one’s ill-gotten faith-based social influence for good than for evil.
