• Oklahoma AG vows to protect classroom Bible distribution

One can almost invariably count upon Oklahoma politicians when it comes to standing up for oppressed Christians, such as the persecuted evangelists of Duncan public schools who were being threatened with legal action by the American Humanist Association.

Now that the AHA has put that suit on hold (because the district backed off on Bible distribution) the state AG is stepping in to ensure that public schoolchildren will continue to be exposed to his religion regardless of their parents’ wishes. From the AP wire:

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says religious freedoms are under attack in Oklahoma and he’s telling public school districts across the state he’s ready to protect them for allowing citizens to distribute Bibles in schools.

In a letter to state superintendents on Tuesday, Pruitt says school districts can allow private citizens to distribute religious literature, including Bibles, to students. He says the districts must enact a “neutral policy” that allows equal access for all Oklahomans to freely exercise their religion.

A neutral policy, hurrah! That means anyone can distribute their holy books to unsuspecting youth. If this situation sounds familiar, that’s because it went down in Florida earlier this year. In that case, the school district backed off when the Satanic Temple offered to distribute their adorable coloring books.

PLEASE SATAN BRING US MORE COLORING BOOKS!

I know that Satanists don’t generally believe in Satan, but I believe in them. Help us Lucien Greaves, you’re our only hope.
