• Secular invocation in Greece, NY

Awhile back I expressed my discontent and disappointment in the outcome of Greece v. Galloway, tempered by a few silver linings. One of those bright spots was on display yesterday, as Dan Courtney delivered what I would consider a model secular invocation to the town board of Greece:

(Notice that some jackhole takes the effort to vocally footstomp “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. Stay classy, monotheists.)

If your local or state government performs invocations to solemnize their proceedings, please consider getting your local secular or freethought group to put their hat in the ring for it, following the example of Freethinkers of Upstate New York.
